This is a wonderful place to stay. The rooms are very comfortable and clean. The facilities for breakfast and relaxing are superb, with views across the valley. A short footpath starting from the driveway leads to an extensive and beautiful network of disused railway lines. Perfect for walking the dog away from traffic. I felt perfectly relaxed here and would happily visit again. - Mike W
We booked the entire place for a girls weekend and could not have asked for more. Kaye was friendly, warm and accommodating throughout the booking and check in process and I felt welcome when I arrived. It’s a great base for central Durham, less than a 10 minute drive/taxi to the main shops, sights and restaurants.The accommodation itself was perfect for what we needed - spacious, well equipped and cosy. The hot tub and the sauna well a welcome added bonus too!- V
